Ulanda

This two-piece ensemble explores pattern, proportion, and balanced tension through contrasting lace-braided structures. The strapless top and skirt are formed from a single piece of fabric that is hand laced to form a tube.  Each piece has two layers of of ALX patterned fabric.  The  top layer is an open ALEXIA pattern and the bottom layer a higher density ALX pattern. The two layers are hand laced together at the sides.   Fringed edges are left visible as an expression of the braiding process, emphasizing a construction in which pattern, stretch, structure, and ornament are integrated directly into the fabric.
