The 801 Braided Bra offers versatile wear with its reversible design, allowing both sides to be worn as the front. Crafted from sustainable Lyocell Tencel yarn, it features a single-piece construction that ensures a comfortable fit. Elastic in the band and straps provides secure support while maximizing comfort, making it ideal for all-day wear.

Is 801 crocheted, woven or knitted?

Tensengral products are braided on re-purposed, century-old lace braiding machines. The 801 Bra’s fabric is engineered to move with the natural weight and motion of the breasts, distributing tension evenly across a unified, linked structure. This fabric is designed to self-balance: subtle shifts in its architectural pattern continuously adapt, creating a hybrid textile that combines the fluidity of a knit with the stability of a braid.

Is 801 Lace?

801 Bra introduces a new form of performance lace crafted on circular lace braiding machines. Each bra is formed from a single continuous strip of fabric, woven with a purposeful tapestry of patterns. Within this strip, lightly elasticized straps and an underband are seamlessly integrated, eliminating the need for separate attachments. The bra is completed by binding the fabric’s ends together with a sewn or adhered seam.

Is 801 2Way?

The 801 bra has two distinct and functional wearing options in one bra.

How does 801's "balanced tension support" feel?

The 801 Bra cradles and hugs with a linked filament structure that evenly distributes movement and support. Testers describe the sensation as weightless—like floating or swimming—while the fluid, interlaced fabric molds without pinching or pressure points. Many say it feels like wearing no bra at all, yet being gently held, like in a hammock.

How does 801's fabric conform and mold without using elasticized fibers?

801's fluid, interlaced fabric molds to the body under tension, much like a rope hammock that shifts with movement. The elasticized band and straps work with the filament network to balance tension evenly across the bra, preventing rubbing or pressure points on any single area.

Are 801 straps adjustable?

The lightly elasticized straps on the 801 are not adjustable.  The straps are seamlessly integrated with the body of the bra.  When fit properly the straps do not slip or fall off of the shoulders.  They tend to be set closer to the neck,

Will 801 mold to uneven or asymmetrical breasts?

801's non-elasticized fabric should mold to uneven and asymetrical breasts, and then attempt to balance itself so there is no wrinkling or buckling.  AMBI's non-rubbing qualities make it a practical alternative for post-breast surgery wear.

Is 801 sustainably manufactured?

801 is produced with care for the future by using a virtually zero-waste efficient manufacturing process that embraces "less-is-more" design principles by providing function in a minimalist way, using only patterned filaments. Learn More About Our Sustainability
